This course was designed based on the most recent NJ Attorney General Directive (No. 2022-07) to be substantially equivalent to the firearms training approved by the Police Training Commission as required under N.J.A.C § 13:54-2.4(b). As of the most recent guidelines, the course will be substantially equivalent to the NJ Retired Police Officer Qualification (HQC2 and HQCN). *****​ISC is now running a new NJCCW course***** This is a new version of the course and will be broken up into two parts. The first part will consist of the "classroom portion" completed via Zoom by ISC Instructors. Successful completion of this will move you to the second part, the firearms qualification. This will be completed at a later date of your choosing. This is not conducted in a group setting but rather a one-to-one firearms qualification with an ISC Instructor. After successfully completing both portions, you will be provided with a certificate of completion to provide with your New Jersey Permit to Carry Application. The cost is $250.00 Requirements: - 21+ - NJ Firearms ID (Residents) or equivalent for out of state. - Minimum of 50 rounds of factory ammunition (not included in price) - Electronic Ear Protection - Eye Protection - Firearm - Cannot rent a firearm - Must own and have the firearm registered in YOUR name - Must read the owners manual of your firearm - Multiple Magazines (AT LEAST 3) - Belt with Hip Holster (Outer Waistband Holster) - Knee Pads (recommended if have trouble kneeling) - Appropriate clothing and footwear Please Note: This course requires a thorough familiarity with the safe handling and use of firearms, therefore this is NOT a beginner course.
